Video: Children React to Cheerios Commercial

Last month, you may or may not have heard about a ‘controversial’ Cheerios commercial featuring a black father, white mother and mixed raced child.

Bizarrely, the advert received so many racist rants on YouTube that Cheerios shut down the comments section underneath the ad and felt obliged to release a statement saying: ‘At Cheerios, we know there are all kinds of families and we celebrate them all.’

Since then, this brilliant video (above) showing reactions from children who watched the commercial has been a viral sensation, receiving over five million views in two weeks.

‘I thought Martin Luther King fixed this already,’ says one bemused youngster.

Good job these children are our future.
