New British Film: It's A Lot

Last week, we caught up with Kid/Adulthood star Femi Oyeniran who’s gearing up for the release of his directorial debut feature film It’s A Lot.

Femi co-created the Brit teen comedy with Nicholas ‘Nicky SlimTing’ Walker and Darwood Grace; and they’re all in post-production getting the film ready in time for its release in the spring. Meanwhile though, it’s creating an organic little buzz in the Twittersphere.

Best described as ‘Kidulthood and Adulthood meets 80s classics Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and House Party’, It’s A Lot centres around Shaun, a black middle class college student who struggles to accept his family’s wealth and longs for street credibility.

Featuring some of the biggest names from the urban music and entertainment scene, plus a significant homage to acclaimed leukaemia charity ACLT, this is easily going to be one of the most talked about films during the summer.

Listen to a vintage interview with Adulthood’s young cast and Overground editor Akosua above, and read more about It’s A Lot from Femi, here.
