Retired Ronaldo to Study Advertising in Britain

New Year, new start? It seems that’s what Brazilian football legend Ronaldo thought too; he’s moving to London next month to become a student, writes Rena Dipti Annobil.

The former Barcelona, Inter Milan and Real Madrid striker has been running his own sports marketing agency since he retired from football in 2011. Now, he plans to live in the UK for at least two years to study advertising and take up a work placement with London-based communications company WPP.

The 36-year-old says: ‘18 years have passed and I’ve hardly studied at all. I feel a great need to become a student again.’

It’s always inspiring to see someone have the courage to try something new and follow their dreams. And for many of us, January is a time to evaluate where we’re at and where we want to go.
