Alicia Keys to Tour UK in 2013

Alicia Keys is that rare combination of talent, beauty and brains – and she’s coming to a town near you! Writes Rena Dipti Annobil.

The sultry singer has announced she will visit six UK cities for her Girl on Fire Tour next year.

Alicia’s recently been busy promoting her new album of the same name, set for release on 26 November. She’s described it as being ‘full of new beginnings, new perspectives and fresh starts’, and it includes collaborations with Emeli Sande, Jamie XX, Frank Ocean and Nicki Minaj who features on her latest single, also called Girl On Fire.

Besides singing, Alicia’s also been acting, directing and earlier his year co-produced a play called Stick Fly (starring Mekhi Phifer) which ran for three months on Broadway.

She’s also known for her philanthropic work and was honoured at the 2009 BET awards with the Humanitarian Award. More recently she was awarded the Rock Star Award at Black Girls Rock 2012, aired on BET

Having seen Alicia perform live before, I thoroughly recommend it. Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday 23 November.
