Civil War in Syria: How Long Will It Last?

Since civil war broke out in Syria 18 months ago, around 30 civilians are killed each day and almost two million of the country’s population have been displaced.

Rebels fight to overthrow Syria’s President Basharal al-Assad and end the dominance of his socialist Ba’ath party, which has ruled the country continuously for the past 50 years.

But how close are they to achieving their objectives? Journalist Adam Pletts investigates.
