Ninjaman Interview

Over the past two years, criminal prosecutions by authorities in the US and Jamaica have devastated the reggae and dancehall industry.

Buju Banton is currently serving 10 years in a federal prison for drug and gun charges; Vybz Kartel faces two murder trials and has been in jail since September; last month Mavado was found guilty of assaulting a man; Elephant Man is battling a rape charge; and Bounty Killer currently stands accused of assaulting a policeman.

In the video above, dancehall legend Ninjaman, who goes to court later this month for a 2009 murder case, shares his thoughts on the state of Jamaica’s music industry, his 28 baby mothers and upcoming trail.
