The Voice Judge will.i.am Marks 8 Years Since Chart Hit
11:18 - Saturday 24 March 2012 - In Categories UK Entertainment, Memory BankThis month marks eight years since the Black Eyed Peas and Tippa Irie reached number six in the UK chart with Hey Mama.
After its release in 2004, the tune appeared on Garfield: The Movie soundtrack, and in the original TV commercial for the iPod.
March 2012 marks a double celebration for will.i.am, as he launches new BBC talent show The Voice, alongside fellow judges Tom Jones, Jessie J and Danny O’Donoghue.
The show kicks of tonight at 7pm on BBC One.
