Can Marriage Ever Survive in Hollywood?

I found myself silently screaming: ‘Nooooooo..!’ as I read the headline, ‘Heidi Klum and Seal to Divorce’ last month. Yet another celebrity marriage bites the dust! Writes Rena Dipti Annobil.

The couple had been married for seven years and famously renewed their wedding vows every year. The fact they have four children made the news even more disappointing.

And other recent celebrity break-ups are equally depressing:

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher: The fact that an older woman could marry her hottie toy boy and live happily ever after was heartening for most women.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver: After 25 years together, these two seemed rock solid.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony: She hasn’t got the best track record, but many thought she’d finally found her Latino soul mate.

Russell Brand and Katy Perry: Despite his crazy ways, Russell seemed a changed man. Everyone wanted this one to work.

Kim Kardashian and Chris Humphries: Ok, so this one was not that surprising. But after 72 days?!

Can a marriage ever survive in Hollywood? And more importantly does true and everlasting love exist anymore?

As someone who has been happily married for almost five years, it’s always encouraging to see two people that you admire uphold the commitment they made to each other on their wedding day.

It’s no secret that the crazy Hollywood lifestyle, with all its trappings, can put a lot of pressure on a relationship. But then so can a non-famous ordinary life. Either way, divorce rates are currently soaring in the UK.

All we can do is try our best and hope to God that Will and Jada stay strong!
