On Friday, an article I wrote for the Guardian sparked a debate about this year’s MOBO Awards.
For the record, I don’t believe the ceremony should only be for ‘black’ artists and never had an issue with Jessie J, Adele, Mick Hucknall or any other ‘white’ act winning a MOBO.
But I know Marsha Ambrosius (pictured), Jamie Jones, Gappy Ranks, etc deserve to be honoured more than some of this year’s recipients, including black ones. Orantes.
