Overground Online in the Guardian
18:41 - Sunday 09 October 2011 - In Category UK Entertainment
On Friday, an article I wrote for the Guardian sparked a debate about this year’s MOBO Awards.
For the record, I don’t believe the ceremony should only be for ‘black’ artists and never had an issue with Jessie J, Adele, Mick Hucknall or any other ‘white’ act winning a MOBO.
But I know Marsha Ambrosius (pictured), Jamie Jones, Gappy Ranks, etc deserve to be honoured more than some of this year’s recipients, including black ones. Orantes.
Read the article here (and readers’ comments at the bottom of the page), and click here to watch Katy B and Ms Dynamite’s MOBO performance (until 15 October).
