'Western Leaders Worse than Colonel Gaddafi'

British journalist Tony Gosling has called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to delay arresting Colonel Gaddafi and focus on bringing Tony Blair and George Bush to trial.

Earlier this week, the ICC announced an arrest warrant had been issued for Gaddafi for ‘widespread and systematic attacks’ on civilians.

Around the same time, General Sir David Richards, the British army’s chief of defence staff, said it was time to: ‘…tighten the vice to demonstrate to Gaddafi that the game is up and he must go’, an apparent u-turn on his previous claim that Libya’s leader was ‘absolutely not’ a military target.

Last Bank Holiday Weekend, in the hours after Prince William and Kate’s wedding, but before Osama bin Laden’s assassination, Gaddafi escaped a devastating airstrike at a family member’s home, which killed his youngest son and three grandchildren.

In the video below, Gosling, founder of whistle-blowing website Public Interest, questions the government’s enthusiasm for a conflict that costs UK taxpayers more than £1.6 million a week, and asks: why is the ICC pursing Gaddafi, but ignoring Bush and Blair?
