Did you know that in the UK one man will die from prostate cancer every hour?
Prostate cancer has overtaken lung cancer to become the most common cancer in men, and each year in the UK around 36,000 men are diagnosed.
However, research shows that only 19% of men check their testicles regularly.
Each year, the Institute of Cancer Research runs the Everyman campaign to raise awareness and funds for research into prostate and testicular cancer.
Everyman Male Cancer Awareness Month will take place in June, and organisers are encouraging the public to take part in a variety of fundraising and awareness activities.
Celebrity patron Dermot O’Leary says: “Having had personal experience of a loved one who has suffered from cancer I am delighted and proud to be a patron of Everyman.’
