Buju to Perform with Shaggy, Stephen Marley and Sly & Robbie

International reggae star Buju Banton will perform live for the first time in over a year next month, when he returns to the stage with a string of top musicians in Miami, Florida.

Stephen Marley, Wayne Wonder, Sly & Robbie, Gramps Morgan, Shaggy and Freddie McGregor, are lined up to appear at the Buju Banton & Friends Before The Dawn Concert taking place on 16 January 2011.

Buju is currently on bail awaiting retrial in February after being charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine.

Earlier this month, the singjay received his fifth Grammy nomination in the Best Reggae Album category for his latest album, Before The Dawn.

Buju says: ‘The concept [of the concert] is to reunite with the fans and thank them personally for the tremendous level of support they have shown to me during these turbulent times.

‘I look forward to touching the stage once more and coming together with the masses in a spirit of togetherness, harmony, unification and solidarity.’
