Silvio Berlusconi: Media Pimp or the Smartest Leader in Europe?

It seems Italy’s Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is permanently embroiled in some sort of scandal.
To be fair, controversy must be difficult to avoid when you’re one of most influential men in Europe and have all your fingers in many different pies.
Berlusconi is ranked the world’s 74th richest man; controls around 80 per cent of Italy’s media; and owns the most successful football team on the planet, AC Milan.
The 74-year-old leader is criticised for offering top government jobs to exotic female models and this week four cabinet ministers resigned in support of his main political rival.
Will Berlusconi be remembered for attending sleazy sex parties with prostitutes and young girls, or can the longest-serving leader of a G8 country outmanoeuvre rivals to secure a place in the history books with his reputation intact?
