Eastenders Actress Belinda Owusu to Collect GUBA Rising Star Award

Former Eastenders actress Belinda Owusu is to be honoured at the Ghana UK Based Achievement Awards to be held at the Porchester Hall in London this Sunday 24 October.
Owusu, best known for her character Libby in the BBC soap, will be among seven ‘special award’ recipients to be celebrated on the night.
Others include World Cup quarter-finalists the Ghana Black Stars, legendary afro-pop group Osibisa and renowned production company Charter House.
Meanwhile, nominees in other categories include chart-topping rapper Tinchy Stryder, shipping company Cargo Vision, British actor Hugh Quarshie, Choice FM DJ Abrantee, Voice of Africa Radio (VOAR), and BBC show An African Journey with Jonathan Dimbleby.
The star-studded ceremony, which is sold out, will also feature live performances from Ghanaian music stars Sonnie Badu and Castro, plus an Osibisa tribute performed by Yaaba Funk.
