1885 Flashback: A Quick Video Guide to How Europe Divided Africa

Did you know: in February 1885, representatives from Britain and 13 other European countries signed an agreement which set out how they were going to divide Africa.

Sadly, the new countries created under the terms of the Berlin Act divided tribes and merged disparate and rival groups. Watch the video below for a quick guide to Europe’s scramble for Africa.
