Londoner Rapper Wows NASA with Astrobiology Rap
17:55 - Tuesday 23 September 2008 - In Category UK News
Genius Jonathan Chase, 28, was approached by the US space firm earlier this year and agreed to record a track about astrobiology, his favourite subject.
Astrobiology – the study of life and evolution – combines other sciences such as astronomy, biology and geology.
However, Chase, who has two degrees and is studying for his masters in science communication, wants to make the subject more accessible.
After a performance at the Science Museum in London last week, he said: ‘Being commissioned by NASA to produce the Astrobiology Rap was a great compliment and I’m delighted with its success.
‘Rap and hip-hop music is my passion. I hope I can continue to create these raps to address the various aspects of science.’
