Usain 'Lightning' Bolt to Give Up Athletics for Football

Jamaican sprinter Usian ‘Lightning’ Bolt wants to become a professional footballer after his athletics career has finished.

The 24-year-old world and Olympic 100 and 200 meters champion, pictured with Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, says that by 2014 he wants to lower his world record in the 100 to 9.4 seconds, and then take up professional football.

He told reporters: ‘I always watch those guys and I think I could be a professional footballer.

‘I’ll try that – maybe I could get into a good side or even an average side.’
