Big Penis Festival in Japan called Honen Matsuri celebrates sex and fertility
02:09 - Monday 05 April 2010 - In Categories World News, Sex
Every spring, on 15 March, the Japanese celebrate sex and fertility with a festival called Honen Matsuri.
The carnival was first celebrated around 1,500 years ago and is held annually in cities such as Nagoya and Komaki where locals worship at sex shrines and organise street parades honouring the penis.
Ironically, in Japan, aside from traditional sculptures, visiual representations of penises are banned in the media.
