Old Church of England Priest to Marry Young Nigerian Boyfriend

A 64-year-old gay Church of England priest has announced plans to marry his 25-year-old Nigerian boyfriend in October.
Rev Colin Coward, a priest at St John the Baptist church in Wiltshire, believes entering into a civil partnership with partner Bobby Egbele, owner of online clothing store Bobafrique.com, will encourage other homosexuals within the church to marry.
Coward, who met Egbele in 2007 at a Christian conference in Togo, said: ‘My goal is for everyone within the church to feel comfortable with the situation because at the moment the majority of gay Christians marry secretly.
‘But we are both deeply committed Christians so it would be unthinkable for me not to do it in church and not to do it with the congregation and with all of our friends.’
