In October 2005, music TV station Channel U (AKA) produced the Best of British awards in conjunction with Trinity Media and Overground.
The show featured performances from 13 of the UK’s most talented unsigned acts and was one of the first events to acknowledge new generation Brit-pop acts such as Dizzee Rascal, Jay Sean and Lady Sovereign.
