How Debt and Depression Led Me to Success23:48 - Friday 12 September 2014 - In Category Money
When Winsome Duncan was faced with unemployment for the third time in her career she decided it was time to take matters in to her owns hands.
Whilst sinking in to debt and battling depression, Winsome was forced to learn how to save money on a tight budget – which led her to write a series of books including tips on how to survive through tough financial times.
Her latest release, 100 Ways To Conquer The Credit Crunch, aims to inspire unemployed people to secure a job or start up their own business. She says: ‘You do not need to be a product of your environment. If you have a burning fire in your belly to go out and start your own business then go out there and create your vision.
‘If you do not have a plan, then you plan to fail. You must map out your career goals. In the book, there’s a chapter called the A to Z Guide to Self Employment where I explore the basics to starting up your own venture.’
She adds: ‘You do not have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great’
